OBJECTIVES

The primary goal was to install an emergency pump station that would effectively collect and redirect the sewage to the appropriate septic field. The solution needed to be functional, durable, and ready for installation within 24 hours.

CHALLENGES

AJ Pumps & Water Treatment approached BARR Plastics with an urgent issue involving
one of their customers. The septic drainline of a residential property was mistakenly discharging into the stormwater basin rather than flowing to the designated septic field. This posed a serious environmental and health risk, requiring an immediate and reliable solution.

To address the issue, BARR Plastics designed and fabricated a custom HDPE sump chamber with the following specifications:
• Dimensions: 24 inches in diameter and 72 inches in height
• Material: High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
• Custom Features: The HDPE pipe was precisely cut and modified to function as a sump chamber

Execution & Delivery

Given the urgency of the project, BARR Plastics immediately began the fabrication process. Within less than 24 hours, the custom HDPE sump chamber was ready for delivery, allowing AJ Pumps & Water Treatment to complete the installation promptly.
